Once arrived, we'll enjoy a short break in this amazing fishermen village. Bars, restaurants and shops stud the walkway, before the hanging pedestrian path on the lake starts. This latter is called "Lovers' walk" and it will take us to the jetty, in the northern part of Varenna.
At 10.30 am departure by boat to Bellagio, arrival at 11.30 am.
Bellagio is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful tourist destinations, not only of Lake Como, but of the whole world. Its name evokes the indisputable charm of a small hamlet, which extends through narrow alleys studded by many local shops. Bellagio also offers an amazing lakeside, where one can breathe in the glory of a bygone time. Thanks to its location, Bellagio provides stunning views of the Alps, especially of the eastern branch of Lake Como, where it is possible to spot the peaks of Grigne, the so called Grignone and Grignetta, while to the north it is possible to see the peak of Legnone.
This ancient hamlet, where old and suggestive houses are located, is cut by mysterious alleys characterized by cobbled staircases, which are studded by colorful shops.
Time available to visit Villa Melzi and its stunning gardens. Before reaching the villa, we have to walk along a tree-line boulevard, at the shadow of umbrella-shaped planes. Once arrived at the large terrace in front of the mansion, it is possible to admire the landscape and the architectural harmony of the building, reachable through a scenographic staircase.
At the end of the visit, free time to have lunch and more visits of this fascinating hamlet.
At 2.15 pm, the itinerary leads us to Como, passing through a panoramic street flanking the left branch of the lake. Once arrived in Como, we'll enjoy free time to visit the city. This stunning city, lapped by Lake Como, boasts a captivating urban design, ancient palaces, lively squares, a calm lakeside where to go strolling, but also many monuments to visit and unmissable tourist sights.
Behind the Cathedral and the Alessandro Volta's Temple, worthwhile to be visit is Villa Olmo. It is one of the most beautiful neoclassic Italian villas. Its name comes from a big tree, the elm (Olmo). According to the legend, Pliny the Younger, one of the most well-known personalities of the city, planted an elm there.
At the end of the visit, at 5.30 pm, the itinerary takes us back to Milan.
