Guided tour of the old city, the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in the world and the Rajghat where "Mahatma Gandhi" was cremated. Rickshaw ride in the oldest part of town. Afternoon visit of New Delhi, the Sikh Temple and Qutub Minar. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport. Flight to Udaipur. Arrival in Udaipur and meet with our local representative.Visit of Udaipur and the City Palace, now transformed into a museum: from the palace you can enjoy a vast panorama of Lake Pichola.
The palace offers innumerable wonders and curiosities, such as the twenty stables for the elephants, the Peacock courtyard, designed with thousands of pieces of colored glasses and the dazzling riches of the prince's apartment. The eastern shore of the lake is occupied by the palace, the southern one hosts a luxuriant garden, while wide steps leading to the shore rise on the northern one.
At the center of the lake there are two islets, reachable by boat, with the former summer residences of the princes, in granite and white marble. One of these is the Lake Palace, now transformed into a princely hotel. Sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola with a stop at Jag Mandir Island. Dinner and overnight.

Departure for Jodhpur. Along the way we visit the temples of Ranakpur, and especially a Jain temple inserted in a splendid and isolated valley. Like all the buildings of this cult, the temple display stunning magnificence and richness of decoration, sometimes so exuberant as to seem excessive. It is one of the most important Indian masterpieces of Jainism.

Highlight: Temples of Ranakpur
In the morning excursion to Amber Fort: originally the palace was built by Raja Mansingh and later additions were made by Sawai Jai Singh. It is one of the finest examples of Rajput architecture. Visit of the multiple rooms and wings of the palace, famous for their design and decorations.
In the afternoon city tour with a visit to the exceptional Jantar Mantar, a magnificent stone observatory built by Raja Jai Singh in 1728. You will drive past the Hawa Mahal, the intriguing Palace of the Winds: in reality it was a facade, built in 1799, to allow women to see the city from the windows. Then visit the opulent City Palace, the former royal residence built in a combination of Rajasthani and Mughal styles, with sumptuous museums displaying an excellent collection of miniature paintings, costumes and armor.

Transfer to Agra. Along the way, stop to visit the abandoned citadel of Fatehpur Sikri, a red sandstone city built between 1571 and 1585 by Emperor Akbar and abandoned after only twelve years. The citadel retains the charm of the medieval atmosphere that characterized it at the time of Akbar, the most enlightened of all the Mughal emperors.
Arrival in Agra and at sunset visit the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders in the world, a magnificent marble dream that rises in the middle of a lush garden like a pearl in a kind of immaculate landscape. Its beauty transcends all description, built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjehan in 1631 in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died while giving birth to her 14th child after 17 years of marriage. To erect the monument, precious stones of all kinds, pearls, corals were collected and 20,000 of the best craftsmen were called from all over the realm. It took 22 years to complete this masterpiece. Visit of the Red Fort, the former residence of the great Mughals. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Transfer to Delhi airport and flight to Varanasi.
Arrival in Varanasi, the holy city, which appears first blurred and then more and more detailed, with the “ghats” teeming with people and the colorful saris spread out on the banks of the river. In the afternoon visit the Ghat to attend the evening prayer. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.

Highlight: Evening Prayer in Varanasi
Early in the morning, take a boat trip on the sacred river Ganges along the Bathing Ghats, the stone steps where pilgrims go to greet the sunrise with ritual ablutions.
Walk in the old town. During the visits you will walk through the labyrinth of narrow streets that wind through the Chowk, the most animated bazaar in the city, famous for its perfumes and incense, embroidered silks, copper and worked brass.
Visit of Sarnath, where Buddha made his first preaching.
At the end of the visits, transfer to the airport for departure by scheduled flight to Calcutta. Arrival in Calcutta, meeting with our local representative and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
