Tour of Nebrodi Mountains and Aeolian Islands

Transfer from Palermo or Catania airport to Capo d'Orlando. Hotel accommodation in the reserved rooms. Excursion on request to visit Villa Piccolo di Calanovella and its Park. Welcome drink and briefing followed by welcome dinner.

After breakfast at the hotel, excursion to Alcara Li Fusi and birdwatching activities at the Rocche del Crasto to observe the royal eagles and the griffins, a species of vulture recently reintroduced. Visit to the "La Tana delle idee” center, walk through the alleys of the village to visit a workshop that produces "Pizzare" with ancient hand looms. Panoramic view of the territory to admire the woods of the Nebrodi Park. Typical mountain tasting with musical animation. Return to Capo d'Orlando, dinner at a partner restaurant and overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel, excursion to visit an agro-zootechnical farm that breeds the Nero Siciliano, a bred of domestic pig from Sicily. Lunch at the farm based on typical local products such as excellent cold cuts from the Nero Siciliano. Return to Capo d’Orlando, free evening to visit the town and dinner on own at a partner restaurant. Overnight stay.

Off-road excursion along the hiking trail on the Nebrodi Ridge: from Portella Gazzana (Longi) to Portella Femmina Morta (Cesarò) through the thick beech woods of the Nebrodi Park, to admire the Biviere and the Maulazzo lake, at the base of Monte Soro. Typical lunch in mountain shelter ("Arrusti e mangia”, Sicilian barbecue). Return in the evening, free dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, transfer to Milazzo for embarkation by hydrofoil to Isola di Lipari, one of the seven volcanic islands of the Aeolian archipelago. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation in the reserved rooms. Reinforced welcome aperitif in the hotel. In the afternoon visit of the archaeological area and its Museum with one of the most important prehistoric and classical collection in Europe. Dinner in restaurant and overnight.

After breakfast transfer to Vulcano island. You can take a bath in the mud and in the natural pool of warm sea water. Free lunch. In the afternoon you can go trekking to Vulcano's crater, or relax on Vulcano's black sands beach. Return to Lipari island for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, navigation to Salina and, on arrival, transfer by bus to the district of Lingua to visit the village, the Ethno-anthropological and Archaeological Museums. The tour continues by bus towards the inner part of the island to the Valdichiesa locality to visit the Malvasia vineyards and a dried tomato farm, producing a typical variety of tomato cultivated without being watered. After the visit there will be an experiential activity with guided tasting of the renowned Aeolian salad in a typical terrace, representing the heart of the life of the islanders. Transfer to the hotel and check in. Free afternoon to rest and dinner at a local restaurant.

Breakfast, free morning to enjoy the sea and relax. There is the possibility of watching the movie "The Postman”. In the afternoon transfer by bus to the famous village of Pollara, with the possibility of descending to the sea to discover the ancient fishing village and the places where the film "Il Postino”, staring Massimo Troisi, was filmed. Visit of a caper farm. Happy hour will be followed by admiring a spectacular sunset, considered among the most beautiful in Italy, with the sun disappearing on the horizon of the islands of Alicudi and Filicudi. Return to the hotel and overnight.

Breakfast. Full day excursion to Panarea and Stromboli with the possibility of bathing. The "Diva delle Eolie” (The Diva of all the Aeolian Islands) is precisely Panarea: the smallest but also the most mundane. On this island you can admire the traces of a prehistoric village dating back to 1400 BC. with the remains of 23 prehistoric huts. Box lunch and dinner facing the "Sciara del Fuoco”, ("stream of fire") a big horseshoe-shaped depression that receives the eruption of the extraordinary volcano, one of the most active of the earth, perpetually restless. Its voice can be heard with a roar anticipating explosions and sometimes effusions: a show that only Stromboli can provide! Return to the hotel in the late evening (??a che ora???) and overnight.

Breakfast and transfer to the port. Boarding in hydrofoil to Milazzo. Upon arrival transfer to Palermo / Catania airport and return to the destinations of origin.
