    In the evening arrival in Antananarivo, capital of Madagascar. Airport reception, presentation and transfer to hotel with overnight stay.

    Day 2 Transfer by auto

    Km 170 - about 3 hours (asphalted road).

    After breakfast, the morning is dedicated to the visit of Antananarivo, developed on 12 sacred hills, at a height between 1,200 meters and 1,500 mt.

    During the visit you can admire the Queen's Palace "Rova", the big boulevard of Independence and "the esplanade of Analakely" with the railway station of the time. Departure to Antsirabe via Ambatolampy, through unique landscapes and traditional villages of the Merina ethnic group, with striking red brick houses.

    Arrive at Ambatolampy and visit a workshop of household pots. Lunch in a restaurant and continuation to Antsirabe, an important agricultural and industrial center. City tour of Antsirabe with a visit to a Zebu horn workshop and / or a visit to a miniature toy factory. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Antsirabe - Ranomafana Park L-DBB

    60 km - about 6 hours (paved road).

    Breakfast and departure for Ambositra through landscapes and plateaus with terraced rice fields originating from the Far East. The proximity to the Zafimaniry region and the green forest of the East have made this city the capital of woodworking.

    Continue to Ambohimahasoa with a stop at a rural restaurant. Traditional lunch based on Malagasy cuisine with songs and dances of local Hira gasy music, characteristic of the Merina and Betsileo ethnic groups. After lunch departure for Ranomafana, arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Ranomafana Park L-DBB
    Day 4

    Breakfast and visit to the Ranomafana National Park. The name of this park derives from the thermal springs of the region, "ranomafana" means in fact "hot water" in Malagasy. It was founded to conserve the rainforest. Here a rare species of lemur was discovered, the "Hapalemur Aureus" in 1987, which coexists with the nocturnal species of the lemur Aye Aye, a multitude of birds, butterflies, spiders and endemic animals.

    The park is also crossed by the river Namorona, and inhabited by the ethnic group of the Tanala, known for the production of honey and for their particular agriculture called Tavy. During the park view you can choose different types of circuits, from 2 to 4 hours of walking, accompanied by local guides and rangers. The park can be visited throughout the year, preferably during the dry season from May to September. Full board at the hotel.

    355 km - about 7 hours (paved road).

    After breakfast, departure for Ambalavao, famous for the artisan production of Antaimoro paper, derived from the papyrus processing, now almost extinct and replaced by Avoha peel, processed and decorated with natural flowers. Lunch in a restaurant and continue south.

    Stop at Anja forest to meet a family of Makis lemurs, as well as chameleons, and reptiles from Madagascar. Transfer to Ranohira, through the immense plateau of the Horombe. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Day 6

    After breakfast, departure to visit the park of Isalo through the Namaza circuit, with a stop at the natural pool formed by a small stream (5/6 hours of trekking), in one of the most beautiful Malagasy landscapes.

    Picnic lunch. During the visit, you can admire the cute Catta Lemur, with a tail in white and black rings. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Km 250 - about 4 hours (asphalted road).

    Breakfast and departure south crossing Ilakaka, land of sapphire researchers, admiring the typical landscape of southern Madagascar characterized by arid vegetation, baobab, and spiny forest.

    Arrival in Tulear and lunch at the restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the botanical garden of Antsokay or Arboretum. Transfer to the hotel in Ifaty.
